I am an author, publisher, storyteller, producer and creator living in Long Beach. Through MWS Media, I provide creative services including brand building, content creation and WordPress development. I just found out… over two months after the fact, damn it… that Grant McLennan, one of the founding members of the Go-Betweens, one of my favorite songwriters from one of my favorite bands, who wrote my favorite song, died.
I feel like I’ve been cheated out of mourning all that time. Or, maybe it’s more accurate to say, I’m shoving two months of grief into right now.
I’ve got more to say about this. Expect a Sonitotum in a few days.

I heard about that on their website a few months ago. Although I haven’t heard a lot of their music, it is sad to see anybody pass on before their time. It just goes to show how sudden and final death is.
If I had heard I would have told you. I’m sorry. I can relate to how you are feeling because sometimes it is years before anyone thinks to let me know that an old friend or even a relative has died. You DO feel cheated of grieving at the time of their death.
