What Do You Think Of Mahalo Changes?

My day job is with Mahalo.com, a human-powered search site. As the recently appointed Product Evangelist, I’ve been very involved in the launch of our new home page.

New Mahalo.com Homepage

Like they do, the technopundits of the blogosphere have come out with their opinions both positive and negative. What I would like to hear is some feedback from folks for whom the success or failure of Mahalo or its CEO is not a going concern… what do users think?

That’s where you all come in. I encourage you to kick the tires of Mahalo.com, even if (especially if?) you’ve used the site before. Let me know what you like and what you don’t like. I’m looking for honest critiques from everyday users… like you!

Please leave your thoughts in the comments, with my thanks.

  1. Angie says:

When clicking a link off of the front page, either internal or external link in the live blog, it takes forever to send me to the requested page. I often times press the stop button in Firefox before clicking a link, which eliminates that problem.

Also, when searching, the auto-suggest often throws me off. For instance, I will search for college basketball and because we have a page for College Basketball Invitational, while I am typing, it somehow inserts the first entry in the drop down list into the search field and ends up searching for “College Basketball Invitationalball.”

I am still using FF2, since FF3 wasn’t working for my needs, so that may have something to do with my issues.
