Announcing Short Stories For Sale

Late last night, I launched something I’ve been intending to do for a couple of months. Now that I’m depending entirely on myself (and the EDD) for income, I have the time for projects like this!

Periodically, I’ll release a short story for sale in multiple formats:

  • A zipped bundle of five DRM-free e-book formats — $0.99
  • Amazon Kindle e-book — $0.99
  • iPhone / iPod Touch e-book — $0.99
  • Signed and numbered chapbook in a limited edition of 100 — $10.00 postage paid in the USA (Shipping extra outside the USA)

The first one is available now: “Reggie vs. Kaiju Storm Chimera Wolf,” my giant monster / unfinished business / love triangle mashup that first appeared in podcast form last year on Escape Pod.

The chapbook edition includes an essay written specifically for that edition, ““Beach Cities and Giant Monsters: The Path to Reggie,” not included in the e-book editions — get the chapbook and be one of only a hundred people to read it!

I’m excited by the old-school (hand-made limited chapbooks!) / new school (e-books!) approach of this experiment. I’m also keen to expose my audience to the range of my fiction — you can expect fantasy, horror, science fiction and not a little bit of straight-up “literary” fiction in the months to come… though I’m loathe to label any of it. We’ll see how it goes — you’ll let me know every time you spend a dollar or ten on these stories!

Start with “Reggie vs. Kaiju Storm Chimera Wolf.”

Thanks!
