Hi, all!
I’m pretty excited because this is my first full month posting on my new blog, Cranking Plot. If anyone out there is a struggling writer, come on over and empathize! I’ll be posting my thoughts about writing, getting writing done, successes and failures, and cranking plot!
Congratulations, Guy! Lots of folks spin off from the Getting Things Done model; it will be interesting to see how you apply it to writing.
Well, I’ve got some pretty big news this month. My new site http://www.moviecollective.com just launched. I’m trying start something called preticket where people pay for a ticket to a movie before it’s been made and then, when it is made, I release it as public domain. I’ve got no idea if people are really up for it or not. But, hopes are high!
BTW, thanks to Matthew Wayne Selznick, the ultimate pimp on the DIY ethic!
Whoa! That’s an awesome idea — a riff on the crowdfunding model used by Jill Sobule and projects like Film Riot that never quite got off the ground. Excellent!
Will you post the script on the site, so folks can get an idea of what they’re putting their money toward?
I think Movie Collective is an awesome idea. Bravo.
Busy month, only I spent a lot of busy time turning my MT blog into a WP blog. It’ll be a lot nicer down the road, particularly when I finally get to doing serial fiction there, but it was a lot of work in the short term (that’s not quite done yet.)
Other than that, more work on Strangeways: The Thirsty and convention appearances. Oh and planning for the Mother of Them All, the San Diego Comic Con. Aaiiee.
All must check out Matt’s Strangeways: The Thirsty. Go, do it now. Leave this site if you must… worth it, it is. Look, it made me write like Yoda talks. That can only be good.
