Renovating

Really awful under construction animated gif.

About 65% of you are new to this site, visiting for the first time. That means, of course, that 35% of you have been here before. You folks in the minority might be wondering what the heck is going on around here?

Come to think of it, you first-timers might be looking around and thinking “this place is a mess.”

The deal is, I’m changing the look, the feel, the functionality and even much of the content here. I’ve even redone the code… if this was a house, you could say I’ve taken out all my personal belongings, razed the thing to the ground and started over from the blueprints to the frame. As I write this, all my stuff has been moved back in, but a lot of it is still in boxes or just put wherever while I do some touch up, some minor carpentry, some landscaping…

A lot of the work was done out of sight (and out of site…) As 35% of you know, I don’t worry too much about appearances. Things have reached the stage where it’s simply more convenient to finish things up out in the open. While I’m a big fan of transparency, this isn’t a case of that so much as it’s just… easier!

So while I wrap this up. Feel free to let me know if stuff is really, horribly broken, as I count on you folks to point out things I might not notice.

Scuze me… it’s time to hike up my tool belt and get back to it…
