While I was packing for the move from Hesperia to Long Beach earlier this month I realized there was a lot happening right around my 43rd birthday… that for once, this birthday would really serve as a landmark. It occurred to me that I should try to document it.
Took a couple weeks to get settled, but Bachelor43 is what resulted. I’ll be doing these every couple of weeks or so; or when there’s something particular to my new bachelorhood that merits reporting. Expect some improvements in quality as I do more… but not much!

I was thinking about what to have for dinner a few nights back when Chris Miller pinged me on Skype — would I like to be a guest on the Secret Lair podcast, like, right now?
I grabbed a beer, headed into my office, switched on the microphone and joined Chris, co-host Kris Johnson and fellow guest Thomas “Cmdln” Gideon for a great discussion on “Free,” neo-patronage and the state of podcast fiction.
