I’m pleased to announce I’m leading a workshop, “Social Media For Writers: Build a Worldwide Audience For Your Work,” at The Writers’ Gallery in Yucaipa, California on Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.

I’ll be sharing the social media techniques I helped pioneer to find readers, build a community of fans and utilize free content to drive sales with or without a publisher.

I had a fun time speaking at the OC Podcasters meeting on November 12, 2008 — turnout was nice both in-house and in the uStream chat — and excellent questions came from all!

I’ll be a guest of the Orange County Podcasters group on Wednesday, November 12 at 6:30 PM in Costa Mesa, California in a space donated by Ballroom is Back. I’ll be speaking about the advantages for authors who podcast their written works, with plenty of examples from my own experience and the experiences of others. Naturally, I’ll be engaging the audience and answering questions.

Whether you’re interested in podcasting, you’re a creative person, or you just want a chance to meet me in person, I hope you’ll attend. While the focus will be on podcasting fiction, the subject is relevant for any creative person interested in broadening their exposure and audience through podcasting and new media.
