The first step in building your audience and presence on the web is having… a presence on the web! I selectively offer a portion of my available website space and bandwidth as web hosting to folks who need it for their creative endeavors.

Web Hosting Packages

I’m keeping it pretty simple. There are three packages, one domain (URL) per package. The idea here is to provide authors and other creative folks with enough space and bandwidth for their purposes. Paying for “unlimited” web hosting is a waste of money if it’s much more than you’ll ever need or use.

One and Five
One gigabyte of storage, five gigabytes of bandwidth per calendar month. $50.00 per year or $5.00 per month.
Five and Ten
Five gigabytes of storage, 10 gigabytes of bandwidth per calendar month. $75.00 per year or $7.00 per month.
Ten and Fifteen
Ten gigabytes of storage, 20 gigabytes of bandwidth per calendar month. $100.00 per year or $10.00 per month.

Included Features

Every package includes ftp access to upload your site files, unlimited e-mail accounts and two databases. A number of open source web application like WordPress, Joomla, ZenCart, MediaWiki, Pligg and phpBB are available for automated and semi-automated installation, or you can hire me to install them for you.

Limits and Terms of Use

I have to abide by limitations and terms of service defined by the folks who run the servers. Therefore, when you pay me for web hosting, you agree to everything in the terms of service of the host company.

Because I have a limited amount of web hosting space to offer, I’m only accepting clients who will use their sites for creative endeavors. This includes, but is not limited to…

  • Independent or small-press authors
  • Bloggers

  • Podcasters*

  • Programmers and developers*
  • Webcomic creators
  • Craftspeople

*Because of the large sizes of music, podcast, movie and some software files, you may need to host your media files elsewhere to avoid surpassing your monthly bandwidth allowance.

Please understand: I make the final call on who is accepted, and I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.

Terms of Use

When you pay for your web hosting account, you agree to abide by the applicable terms of service of the the host company. In addition, you agree to the following:

  • You will use your hosting space for an active web site.
  • You will not use your hosting space as backup or other file storage, or to serve files via torrent, peer to peer or other file sharing methods.
  • You will not re-sell your hosting space or any part or feature of your hosting space.
  • You will not hold Matthew Wayne Selznick or the host provider responsible for any damages you suffer through the use of this service.
  • Matthew Wayne Selznick and the host company provides absolutely no warranties or guarantees whatsoever.
  • You will abide by all applicable terms of service imposed by the host company.
  • Any violation of the these terms or the terms of use of the host company may result in the immediate suspension or deletion of your web hosting space with no refunds.

Your subscription will renew automatically unless you unsubscribe via PayPal.

When I receive notice you’ve subscribed, I’ll send you an e-mail from mwsmedia.hosting at gmail.com, so make sure your spam filters allow mail from that address. I’ll ask you the domain name you want to associate with your hosting space, the purpose of the site, and a few other questions. Do you need a domain name? I can handle the registration for you — ask me about it! Once I hear from you and approve your site, I’ll manually set up your space and send you and e-mail with all the necessary details.
