Novels

Information on my book-length fiction.

Published Works

My first novel, “Brave Men Run — A Novel of the Sovereign Era,” was released in November, 2005. It was the first work of original fiction to enjoy an initial simultaneous publication in paperback, DRM-free e-book in five formats, and free podcast editions. Learn more through the menu on the left.

Planned Works

I have a number of novel ideas (ha ha) at various stages of development.

“Pilgrimage”
The second book of the Sovereign Era cycle and the second half of the Charters Duology, “Pilgrimage” follows the lives of some of the characters from “Brave Men Run” a year after the events of that first book. New characters are also introduced and we learn more about the Sovereign Era as the first anniversary of Declaration Day draws near.
“Light of the Outsider”
Set in the Shaper’s World milieu, this grim fantasy thriller follows a number of desperate people caught up in a political kidnapping which threatens to upset the balance of the nations of Kaebrith and set the stage for invasions both military and magical.
“Daikaiju Planet”
The one man who has a small degree of control over giant monsters is kidnapped by terrorists. An untested young female cadet and a third-string reporter are caught up in the effort to rescue him before the world is pounded by a perfect kaiju storm. A Daikaiju Universe novel.
“Hazy Days and Cloudy Nights”
The story of Carson Meunetti, his band, his friends, and their loves in the late eighties in a misty Southern California beach town. Set in the Sovereign Era, but only peripherally impacted by the larger events of that time.
“The View That Comes With You”
The gang from “Hazy Days…” at the edge of the twentieth century. A novel of transitions, discovery, love, and belated maturity in the face of potential disaster. Another novel set on the borders of the larger events of the Sovereign Era.
