My Take On Urban Horror
“Cloak” represents one of the few times I’ve ventured into the horror genre. It’s probably no surprise to readers familiar with my work that this story emphasizes character over creepiness.
In “Cloak,” Harry Turpin does his best to lead a life of mediocrity after a family tragedy. When his girlfriend dumps him for a snide would-be magician, Harry’s life begins to take a very strange turn. As the mysteries about his family mount, Harry has to do something to shrug off the emotional cloak he’s been living under. The fate of his ex-girlfriend… and maybe a lot more… hangs on his actions.
