Here’s a short story set in the first year of my Sovereign Era setting, where society is forever changed when people with remarkable abilities make themselves known across the world. It’s a fun one, I think.
In “The World Revolves Around You,” Tony Fallow has a problem. He’s too attractive… to inanimate objects! Everything around him that’s not bolted down wants to be near him. He suspects he may be one of the Sovereign, the meta-human minority making news all over the world, and he’s none too happy about it. What he learns when he visits a very specialized doctor doesn’t make him any happier…
