This has been a pretty big month in the little tidepool of new media called podcast fiction! On May 1st, I launched my ongoing serial fiction webzine “Hazy Days and Cloudy Nights.” On May 5th, Seth Harwood’s podcast novel “Jack Wakes Up” was released into bookstores from Three Rivers Press. Today… two more podcast fiction luminaries have major releases!

Personal Effects: Sword of BloodMasterful author, social media firestorm and dear friend J.C. Hutchins has a remarkable book / cross-media project coming next month: “Personal Effects: Dark Art.” I’ve read it; I’ll be reviewing it very soon in this blog.

Right now, though — today — you can get a taste of the “Personal Effects” universe through J.C. Hutchins’ new free podcast novella, “Personal Effects: Sword of Blood.”

Consider this free podcast audiobook your introduction to art therapist Zach Taylor and Brinkvale Psychiatric Hospital. Once you’ve listened to “Personal Effects: Sword of Blood,” I reckon you’ll rush to pre-order “Personal Effects: Dark Art” to receive the full, tactile, multimedia experience.
