It’s a (parked) car-cast episode of Sonitotum with Matthew Wayne Selznick! I continue to experiment with using my Audio-Technica lavaliere mic to allow me to do more spontaneous podcasting without worrying about finding the perfect time or perfect environment.
This episode includes…
- What I recognized about my sense of personal justice following two lousy (and one good) customer service experiences
- Why a service-based approach is so important
- My new mentoring / coaching service for writers, Your Story Buddy, including a listener-only discount offer on your first session
- Voicemail feedback for Sonitotum 018 from Christopher Miller
Provide your own feedback in the comments section of this post, if you like!
Links and Topics Mentioned in This Episode
- The service-profit chain
- Borders Books and Music
- The type of padlock I was struggling to remember is a discus padlock. The “bar” that does the actual locking is called the “shank.”
- Hawkeye Pierce, in particular, his sense of humor

Glad to find you’re keeping up the podcasts! Just finished listening to this one. Going to listen to the most recent one (episode 20) next and hopefully work up the nerve to send you a voice/audio comment. Also in regards to your listener’s voice comment: Been wanting to get back into D&D myself; I only worry about the time commitment.

Hi Harold! Thanks for the comment, and for the voice comment. You’ll hear me acknowledge it in episode 21, although per your request I won’t include the actual audio in the episode.
