My second novel in the Sovereign Era sequence is also the second book in the Charters Duology. Set about a year after the events in “Brave Men Run - A Novel of the Sovereign Era,” “Pilgrimage” follows up on some old friends, puts stronger emphasis on other characters, and introduces new Sovereigns and “norms.”
In the days leading to the first anniversary of the Donner Declaration that marked the beginning of the Sovereign Era, Nate Charters, Denver Colorado, Marc Teslowski, and others find themselves on the road to the Donner Institute of Sovereign Studies. What happens on the way — and when they get there — will change their lives forever.
