February 2025 by the Numbers
Every month, I share revenue and expenses directly related to my creative endeavors. This doesn’t include my work as a creative services provider working for authors, podcasters, and others, which is the majority of my monthly income (the “day job”).
I share this because you’re either a patron Multiversalist, or you’re a free Multiversalist and I’d like you to become a patron… and it’s only fair you see how your membership (or future membership) offsets expenses and helps supplement and, eventually, replace, my other revenue streams.
Creative Revenue
- Multiversalist patron member dues (net): $8.89, an expected big dip from January’s $240.33 due to January’s annual-rate patron members renewing or joining.
- Book and music royalties (net): $108.36, a 299% improvement of January’s $27.15, mostly thanks to the sale of nine limited edition chapbooks. Royalty sources broke down like this:
- Direct Sales: 77%
- Amazon: 12%
- DriveThruFiction: 10%
- Draft2Digital: 1%
TOTAL REVENUE: $117.25 (56% of January’s $267.48; 68% better than February of 2024).
Creative Expenses
$193.16 in expenses related directly to my creative endeavors in February, including the six-month fee for the post office box, plus printer ink and postage for the chapbooks sold. There was also one domain name registeration, plus the usual monthly hosting and related expenses.
193.16 is about 75% more than January’s $109.85, and 16% less than the $230.85 spent in February of 2024.
Difference:
-75.91
Compared to February 2024: +$117.38, or, a 54% improvement.
2025 Cumulative
