April 2025 by the Numbers
Every month, I share revenue and expenses directly related to my creative endeavors. This doesn’t include my work as a creative services provider working for authors, podcasters, and others, which is the majority of my monthly income (the “day job”).
I share this because you’re either a patron Multiversalist, or you’re a free Multiversalist and I’d like you to become a patron… and it’s only fair you see how your membership (or future membership) offsets expenses and helps supplement and, eventually, replace, my other revenue streams.
Creative Revenue
- Multiversalist patron member dues (net): $246.68, from March’s $8.89, thanks to a new Gold patron member coming onboard at the annual rate.
- Book and music royalties (net): $24.90, up from March’s $2.11. Royalty sources broke down like this:
- Amazon: 98.4%
- Draft2Digital: 1.6%
TOTAL REVENUE: $271.58, up from March’s $11.00, and up $241.84 from April of 2024.
Creative Expenses
$134.03 in expenses related directly to my creative endeavors in March, including a domain name registration, software for my website, and the usual monthly hosting and related expenses.
That’s 10.3% less than March’s $149.42, and 30% more than the $94.98 spent in April of 2024. It includes double paying for mailing list services (Kit, which I was finally able to demote in May 2025, and MailerLite, to which I’ve migrated).
Difference:
+137.55
Compared to April 2024: +$202.79, or, a 147% improvement.
