This week, so far, I’ve had two distinct visits from people I haven’t seen in years.

Sunday night, I dreamed I was preparing for a gig with the guitarist from my old band PIGBAT. It all seemed perfectly normal in the dream. Once I woke up, I was filled with a bittersweet happiness (more sweet than bitter …. sweetbitter?) because Kris has been dead for almost two years now.

Just last night, I dreamed of one of my old friends from the San Clemente days… she and I held each other together after our mutual Big Breakups. At least, I know she held me together! Haven’t seen or heard from her in over a decade.

I’m not all that superstitious, but I know not to ignore dream symbols when they’re that clear and that emotionally impactful. Thing is, I don’t know what I’m supposed to be getting from these two nights..!

I wonder if I’ll have any special guest stars tonight?
